Roundtable: Master Coaches discuss and comment on the play of Northwestern.

Bill Mallory on Northwestern:"They really are the Cinderella team this year in the Big Ten. When you look back at that Penn State game, they had Penn State fourth-and-16 down in their territory at the end of the game. Of course, Penn State made the play and went on to score and win the game. But Northwestern's offense is something. Brett Basanez has thrown something like 462 times with only four interceptions. And they have a darned good running back in Tyrell Sutton. There's no question that they're very good offensively. Defensively, they're getting better and they're feisty. They're a team that's on the move."

Pat Dye on Northwestern: QB Brett Basanez: "He's playing as good as any quarterback in the country."

Bo Schembechler on Northwestern: "The key to their offense is their quarterback has been sensational. He can move around, and they've got a great offensive system. But they're not a good defensive football team. Everybody has moved the ball on them. They've got maybe two or three good defensive players. But I'll tell ya this: Michigan will have a hell of a time beating them in Evansville, because that quarterback alone can score points on any football team in the nation."

Hayden Fry on Northwestern: "I'd just like to remind everyone that Michigan State had a heck of an offense too, and they struggled to score 14 points against Northwestern. So don't overlook Northwestern."

Basanez escapes from an Iowan defender.
