Exclusive: Master Coach Gene Stallings
comments on the NFL Draft prospects at Defensive Back

Gene Stallings believes that NFL teams find more sleepers at Defensive Back than at any other position. When Coach Stallings was coaching Defensive Backs in the NFL, he looked for a player with a low center of gravity that could jump.
"(Antonio) Cromartie might be the best cornerback," Stallings said. "He's got good size, good speed and the thing I like most is that he can flat-footed broad jump a little over 11 ft."
Coach Stallings believes that in a Safety, a coach wants intelligence above all else. "Michael Huff from the University of Texas is
probably the best safety coming out," he said. "He has great speed at 4.37 (40 yard dash) and a 40-inch vertical jump, which is outstanding."
Jason Allen from Tennessee went down with an injury last season, but Coach Stallings believes he can play in the NFL as soon as this upcoming season. "I believe he has recovered and will be a top 40 or 50 player," he concluded.
