comments on the NFL Draft prospects at Defensive End

The 2006 class of defensive ends is loaded with talent. Mario Williams of North Carolina State is No. 1 or 2 on most draft analysts' big boards. "I like Williams the best because he's the biggest. With his size, he can really elevate up field," said Don James.

Size isn't all that matters, though. Darryl Tapp is a 6'1", 264 pound defensive end, whom Coach James thinks will make a team and have an impact.

The most interesting thing to Coach James is that North Carolina State has three defensive linemen that will likely be drafted (Mario Williams, Manny Lawson and John McCargo). "For three guys to make the NFL from one team in the same year is pretty incredible," he said.

"Of the 6 players that I mention, I think they all have a chance to make it and contribute this year. It's been fun looking at these guys, and I think that they will have fun come draft day."
