Exclusive: Master Coach Vince Dooley
comments on the NFL Draft prospects at Offensive Line
April 25, 2006
By MCSPOLL.com staff
Vince Dooley believes that Virginia's D'Brickashaw Ferguson is in a class of his own. "He is just a natural in everything that he does," Dooley said. "Winston Justice tested well in every test in the combine, but some believe that his arms could be a bit longer."
One of the biggest linemen in the draft is out of the SEC, Auburn's Marcus McNeill.
"He is a marvelous athlete. As is a concern with players that are big, some believe that Marcus may play a bit too high. But at 6'9", he is high to begin with," Dooley said.
A player that Coach Dooley knows very well, Max Jean-Gilles of Georgia is one of the best offensive guards in the draft.
"Max is probably the best run-blocking lineman in the draft," Dooley said. "He is just a massive specimen. I would say perhaps he is the most physical player."
Overall, Master Coach Dooley believes that
the prospects at Offensive Line are a great group of players. "As it always is with players, they need to get with the right system to utilize and maximize their abilities," he concluded.
