The biggest debate in the 2006 NFL Draft is at Quarterback. The experts cannot decide on who is the better player, Matt Leinart of USC or Vince Young of Texas. "Leinart appears to have it all," Coach Edwards said. "I think he has all the tools that a quarterback needs."

Young led the Texas Longhorns to the National Championship over Leinart's Trojans. "He is a physical phenom, that's for sure," Don Nehlen said. "Had he stayed in school for another year, he would have certainly been the first quarterback taken."

Jay Cutler of Vanderbilt appears to be the sleeper of this year's draft at the QB position. "The thing that impresses me about him is his ability to make plays," Coach Nehlen said. "You wonder what he would have done if he had USC's or Texas' talent around him."

"These guys that have the physical size and have the good arm, like Charlie Whitehurst (from Clemson), it is just a matter of whether or not they can make the transition from the college game to the NFL game," LaVell Edwards concluded.
