comments on the NFL Draft prospects at Running Back

Reggie Bush of USC heads the 2006 Running Back class and will likely be the No. 1 overall pick by the Houston Texans. "If Reggie does in fact go to Houston, he will be used properly. Gary Kubiak is a perfect fit because he is used to having great runners in his offenses," Coach Robinson said.
Bush's teammate, LenDale White's draft stock is falling. "He's an underclassmen, and he doesn't appear to be a mature person in this point of his life," Robinson said. "It will be interesting to see who does enough research to see if White will pan out or not."
Robinson believes Joseph Addai is the Running Back who is on the rise. He was projected to be drafted early in the second round, but Addai seems to be a low risk. "Addai is a tough guy. He can run inside or outside, catches the ball well and appears to be tough enough to block," he added.
Coach Robinson knows that Running Backs and Linebacker are two of the most important positions on the team. "They represent what kind of a physical attitude that the team is going to have," he said. "For the coaches drafting running backs high, they hope that their picks can change first down to make defenses have to play the run on first down.
