Master Coach R.C. Slocum breaks down the Wide Receivers

Exclusive: Master Coach R.C. Slocum
comments on the NFL Draft prospects at Wide Receiver

Coach Slocum does not believe that the 2006 class of wide receivers is the best he has ever seen, but he thinks that there are some outstanding players up for grabs. He said, "Allthough there is not an abundance of 'can't miss' first round draft picks this year, as we know, every year there are players that get drafted and surprisingly have great careers."

Despite the lack of depth at the wide receiver position this year, Coach Slocum believes that three players stand out. "(Santonio) Holmes is not only a great receiver but is an outstanding kick returner," Slocum said. "Chad Jackson isn't a return guy, but he can certainly catch the ball."

Sinorice Moss is the final receiver of the three that R.C. thinks is above the rest. "He has great speed and is strong. He's a little guy, but smaller receivers have had a great impact in recent years in the NFL," added Slocum.
